25 Year old male Virgin.

Hello people. I'm a 25 year old male virgin. It seems society deems it harder and not accepted if a man is a virgin and is considered more accepted if a woman is one dont ask me why but its the way it is. I have had a couple of chances but bieng the shy intravert and confused individual I am (I have had psychiatric problems in the past) I dont pursue opportunities with women. I dont consider myself ugly i'm a normal guy with nothing wrong with me but I guess the point was its more socially unacceptable to be a virgin if your a male than if your a female. Would anyone agree with me? thx for reading.

agreed

Among other guys, it's DEFINATELY socially unacceptable. I've found that I can't tell other guys, or basically you will become the laughing stock. Girls in their 20s are usually okay to admit it to, unless they're deeply shallow, they tend to find it kind of cute. Teenage girls are a no no, they will think very poorly of it.

But yeah, there is a strong social stigma on guys past their teens who remain virgins.

25 Year old male Virgin.

First off, I learned in high school not to worry about what guys say. Do you remember the guys in school that made fun of other guys for being virgins, then it came out they were virgins too? There are alot of guys that love making fun of others for their own insecurities. Think of penis size for instance. Usually the guys that make fun of others are the ones who are insecure.

Here is the next thought. Are you guys saving your virginity for the right person, or do you just not think that you can get a girl to have sex with you? If you are saving yourself, that is great and you won't regret it. If you don't think that you can get a girl to sleep with you, that can turn into a problem.

girls point of view

i think it really depends on where you live at and what your ethnicity is!!! im chinese and i myself respect guys that don't go screw every girl they get a chance with. that to me, is kind of like a gigalo. so i guess it really depends on what type of ppl you hang out with ^-^. but guys! don't think about it too much!!! i respect all virgins even though i do agree that it is more unacceptable and embrassing for guys to be a virgin. but hey! ^_~ actually alot of guys like to lie about the truth of their virginity.

NORMAL

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A 25 YEAR OLD MALE VIRGIN. I DO BELEIVE THAT SOCIETY LOOKS AT IT O E WIERD, BUT WHAT IS NORMAL? THEY THINK THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS ACCEPTABLE. IT IS AN ABOMINATION UNTO GOD-HE DOESNT HATE THE SINNER, BUT THE SIN. SEX IS DESIGNED TO TAKE PLACE WHEN WE ARE MARRIED AND NOT BEFORE. I AM ALSO A 25 YEAR OLD VIRGIN(FEMALE), BUT BY CHOICE. I KNOW THAT IS THE WAY THAT GOD WANTS IT, AND IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT, YOU WOULD COME TO THE REALIZATION, THAT ITS BEST! AFTER ALL, WHO KNOWS U BETTER THAN YOU KNOW YOURSELF, BUT GOD? I WOULD HAVE TO SAY, IF U R STILL A VIRGIN, STAY THAT WAY.....LOT LESS DRAMA AND STRESS.....

normal

I have wondered "how far can one go" before it becomes immoral. I kmow that it up to each omdividual to decide. Is it better to set high boundaries and then compromise or to explore and satisfy ones interest then det higher moral codes. It seems that many are doing the later.

It is hard

Being a 30 year old virgin myself (soon to be 31), I definitely feel that society makes it feel unnatural to be a male of this age and to be a virgin. But, I would rather have sex with someone with whom I really like, not just anyone.

I would say, hang in there.
