Pornography

Pornography is only wrong if you feel it is. To each his own. It sounds like a copout, but it's how I feel. I would never think less of someone because they watched pornography. As long as you're not harming yourself or anyone else, I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Now, if you're asking if it has negative effects, that's a different story. I think it can. I think that it can cause insecurity, but the same can be said of many parts of our society. You can get the same kind of insecurity from picking up a magazine or watching an ordinary movie.

The only time I might question someone's interest in pornography is if said person was in an intimate relationship. I think it might cause the other party to feel inadequate if not dealt with properly.

Does that make sense, or do I just sound like a blithering idiot? lol

Porn

There are several things "wrong" with porn, especially for viewers that have not been in a sexual relationship. Porn is made to sell and so usually consists of unrealistic situations and expectations. Just to mention a few myths that seem to be promoted by porn:

1) The woman always has an orgasm from PIV sex
2) The woman always wants/enjoys anal sex.
3) The woman always wants him to ejaculate on her.
4) The guy can "go" for hours at a time.
5) The woman always wants oral sex.
6) Thw woman is alway "ready to go" and needs no foreplay.

Anyway, you can learn some things from porn, such as different positions. But there are many books and videos that are instructional that are much better for teaching about sex.

Yes and no.

Later reply probably... Never checked the posting date. Sue me.

As to my view... To an extent.

Porn depicts the act of sex in a very bizzarre, unrealistic way which doesn't even replicate the real act.

Even being a virgin myself and having spoken about it at length and reading about stuff related to sex, it's just plain old common sense. People need to be objective...

As Igor pointed out, pornography is unrealistic for the reasons pointed out.

In terms of what it represents - quick relief which appeals more to a male mind. We prefer more visual stimulis than women, where as women prefer more mental stimulation and foreplay to get them in the mood.

Watching too much of it I think is bad because it gives someone a very altered perspective on sex, a resentful one even.

Watching too much is bound to lower your libido, since you probably stand to drain it with too much masturbation.

Try going without it for a fortnight and I bet you'll find you're a lot more energetic and naturally horny. You're probably more inclined to go outside the house and search for partners that way...

I AGREE!

I believe that porn gives a warped view of sex. First of all, half of those hoes have huge vaginal holes that you have to have a king kong dingaling to pleasure-sorry for all you shy people. The moaning is so fake and rehearsed. I don't know how people get off on that ish. I feel sorry for pornstars, particularly female pornstars-they waste one of the greatest pleasures on earth for the mighty green dollar. Bad show!

wham bam thank you ???

very good points made by every1.. yer, i think it has made me feel really insecure, this feels so strange to say... i mean.. i remember i stopped wanking for like 6 weeks.. i felt great, then it got to much and i got sucked in again, to wanking i mean.. but i did have a lot of personal problems at the time.. they stil bother me, but them people are now out of the equation.. physically anyway... stil bug my mind quite a lot... anyway.. this aint here for me to talk about problems... basically, i think that reading this has put my views about porn back where they were and how they should b... anyway.. good points, tnx for some reasuring and informative view points.... and just for the record.. wtf is a moneyshot? thanks
