why men cheat?

Yesterday my neighbor was telling me very proudly that he is betraying his wife for a widow in his office.
he is pretty much normal with his wife still he is cheating on her.
i dont know why this situation happens.
having a beautiful wife and a 5 years old kid he is doing such...
does anyone have any reason for that?

Probably more to it....

There are a lot of things that could be going on here, but obviously your neighbor is unhappy with this his marriage, or his life in general. It's always a possiblity that he wishes he was having an affair, but really isn't. Either way, it shows a lot about who he is as a person, whether he is actually cheating or not. If he really is doing this, there may be more to the story as far as his relationship with his wife. I am not condoning his behavior in any way, I am just trying to come up with some explanation for why he would not only do something like, with a nice wife and kid, but brag about it to a neighbor who could easily rat him out. Interesting situation, if I were you I would attempt to stay as far out of their business as possible :)

too bad

I hate to hear that type of thing but I know it happens every day. Humans are wired to feel attraction all the time, from more than just the person they are spending their life with. It can be a difficult thing to deal with at times, but it is that effort that makes a relationship worth having. You are dedicating yourself to someone and saying that you can be faithful to them. If you don't want to do that, you have 2 options: ask your girlfriend for an open relationship, which probably won't g o well, or don't get involved in a relationship.

The reason this topic bugs me is because men can simply choose to be single, but they don't, then don't give a damn when they hurt someone who actually cares about the relationship. Guys, if you are looking for sex right now, don't start a relationship! Have your fun, then find someone to settle down with. It's much better, for everyone, if you don't choose to have your fun during a relationship.

Wow

'

Cheating happens for a huge variety of reasons. It would be impossible to pin down the exact reason this guy in particular has done this without knowing more.

However, I am surprised he just admits to it and sounds proud of it ... unless you know him very well this seems like a very unusual thing to do.

cheating

I agree here. Why would this man tell you (proudly) that he is cheating on his wife?

Does he think you will say something like "oh well she must have driven you to it" and expect you to listen to his marital problems ?

Or do you think that maybe he was trying to shock you and look at him in a different way (a bit of a player for example..something he may be proud of)

Perhaps he even wants to try it on with you?

And I also think you should avoid him and stay well out of any discussions about their marriage or his affair.

Dangerous times.

This is one of the oldest threads I found in this community! But the matter you discussed here happens every day! I'm going through such a situation and I need some help from members of this community! Hoping for the best!
