22 year old male virgin
Hi there, this is my first time posting on the forum, though I have to admit I have read a lot of posts to see if anyone out there is in the same boat as me.
Even though it is refreshing to see I'm not alone (being a virgin at 22), i'm still very frustrated.
I guess I should start by saying I'm not sure if I'm looking for advice or just venting, but nonetheless I appreciate anyone's comments. anyway, onward with the post...
Just to give a little info about me, I'm 22, male, and about 5'6. I have a slim build, and I'm not an ugly guy by any means. The only problem is I've never really been intimate with any women. I've kissed a girl, once or twice, but never done the things it seems everyone else has - been in a relationship, held hands, made out, fooled around, let alone even having sex. I feel inexperienced not only as a virgin at sex but in any other regards to women as well.
I've even had a few different oppurtunities to lose my virginity - but I've either been to scared in the past, or it didn't feel right and I would choose not to go for it.
Sometimes I feel like maybe I was just waiting for the right girl, but also, at other times I know I was just scared and let a good thing slip. That is the past however, now I feel more like I am ready to lose my virginity, and more importantly to be in my first relationship.
The problem is I don't know what to say to the girls I'm interested in. How do you go about it? "Yeah, I'm 22 but you're the first girl I've ever been in a relationship with, held hands with, or done anything with."
I'm afraid that telling them the truth beforehand would just ruin everything. But I'd also feel bad not telling them beforehand. I don't want to start off by lying to them, even if by omission.
I guess ultimately it would be a dream to find a girl who respected the fact that I was a virgin, and who wouldn't think less of me for it, but every girl I seem to talk to is so experienced and I'm scared of how they'd react.
My best friend and his girlfriend both lost their virginities to each other and are both each other's first relationship. They are great to each other, and I envy their relationship, in the sense of how easy it was for both of them to be in the same position. I guess at 22 It's tougher to find another person who's never been in a relationship or had sex.
Anyway, thanks for letting me open up...If anyone out there has any comments I'd love to read them...

Ali, not telling someone right away that you are a virgin is not a lie by omission. It is perfectly acceptable to wait until you trust the person. Telling a girl something like that right away would probably make her uncomfortable! Wait until you are far enough in the relationship that it seems right to tell her.

hey
yea, i have the same issue, except im a girl, 20, and never even kissed a guy. 
i rather have a virgin bf, but the only guy iv found that also likes me, lives on the other side of the country and(congrats to him) just lost it to his ex. what a drag.. its like there are no more virgin guys in VA anymore..
good luck finding a girl you will adore!
