i dont know anymore...help!!!

I always thought that waiting for sex until marriage was the best decision to make. Well not really actually I thought to wait at least until I graduated because thsi grl I had a class with my freshman year told me that it was impossible to leave high school with one's virginity so I thought I would prove I could. Now I am going to be a senior in high school and I think about sex ALL THE TIME, I mean it gets so bad that when I look at some guy I think about doing them. uh!!! it is so nerve-racking that I just want to give up. I mean do I give in and prove statistics wrong or do I stand my ground and go through with it. I do not know what to do anymore, I think poorly of people engaging in intercourse in my age group and I do not want to be one of "those" people but I feel I almost have no choice. I feel the thought of sex is controlling me before I have ever experienced it. I do not know what to do anymore the decision is really hard. HELP!!!

I'll try to help...

you have to value what you think over what others think of you. if you are in a committed relationship and decide that sex is a step you are wanting to take then by all means, knock yourself out. but i would steer away from having sex just to lose your virginity because its something you can never get back. i was also a virgin through out high school and know how tempting it can be. i know how curious i got about all of it. just dont make any decisions you will regret. think about it and decide if its a step that you really want to take. not being a virgin does not make you any less of a virgin. so dont look down so much on those who choose to have sex. and dont let them dictate your decision making.

Not exactly

'You're so young. Why are you thinking about sex. There is more to life then sex.'

Yes I am young and youre right I shouldnt be thinking about sex and I do not particularly know why I do but it is all around me. I get very tempted to go and have sex just because I have nothing better to do. I mean what comes after Im tired of kissing the special someone, can you tell me??? Am I kissing forever or do I engage into something deeper? That is why Im alwalys wondering everytime I meet a potential boyfriend I think to mysefl what happens after I get tired of making out. I dont know if Im being to hiughschoolish for you but its a really hard situation even more harder nowadays. Teenagers start engaging in intercourse as young as 13! I guess I think about it so much because it is everwhere I look, Do you understnad that now?

My view

I personally blame american pie. I mean sex is in the media and all over schools and then they make a film about having sex like being a virgin is a disease and you have to be cured.

I don't relate to this films. I see it as an insult to all the problem we go though as teenages.

Don't listen to hype about sex for one minute.

You all you know your lad mite not be able to get it up and if he did he mite cum after 12 or 13 seconds. I knew a guy that did that

I am 19 and I am still a virgin. I don't listen to the crowd. People in groups are told what to think, Im not. Im not a follower, I am my own leader.

I live in Scotland , so freshman means nothing to me. How old her you?

soo true

Yea it is true sex is everywhere in the media as if virginity were a disease that needs to be cured. Im almost 17, its my last year in high school and Im thinking that maybe I should go the extra mile with a guy just to have "fun" (not saying sex is my definition of fun but yakno). Then when I start to think about losing my virginity more in-deepth I freeze...not as in Im afraid but more like I would rather wait for the "right" person to come along. But then there are doubts such as "will I ever find the "right" person if I wait?" or "will I regret my first time only because I shouldve waited longer?". It can be frustrating but Im holding on, Im not giving in to it anymore, sex will ALWAYS be around whether I do it now or in the next ten years it is up to me to use it respectfully not as a fun night out doing it with anyone and everyone as neccesary when I find myself getting bored. I still am "effy" about the whole deal of losing my virginity but Ill survive...I just think about it because well...Ill never get it back once its gone.

...

to explain to gonzales....
high school years:
freshman year= 14/15 years
sophomore year= 15/16 years
junior year=16/17 years
senior year= 17/18 years

BIG WORLD BIG CHOICES
if you are wanting to go farther than just kissing with your "special someone" keep in mind that not all sex is intercourse. there are other things you can do leading up to it. so if you are wanting to be physical without having sex then you can do some alternatives. however, think about these actions before you do them because they all take a toll on you emotionally.

*raise hand* Join the club...

I'm not having sex...ever. At first, I thought about all the time, but since I found out "this is kinda weird" I had to use a tampon one time and plus the fear of going to the OBYGN Clinc one day for a *shrudders" check up, I forgot about sex. My parents disaprove of my rejection, but I'll be in college in about 1 1/2 years from now and they want me to go the the clinic just in case I do have sex. Plus, I see sex as something for a SERIOUS relationship (ie:married). Sex outside of marriage is scary and soul shattering if your partner leaves you for another girl/boy. You can escape the urges when you stay busy and then before you know it, you don't have time for those images to run through your mind. I feel different and a little better now. My Bf for 4 years left me "he was a virgin too" for some girl who I think, had sex with him. After that event, he turned his back on me and ran with her. So far, I just don't want to take the risk of losing something that can be part of me till I die. I tried Masturbating, but I just got tired of it. So far it's been 3 weeks since masturbated. I guess I just lost interest...but then again..this is me.

Thanks

Thanks 4 explain the american terms :)

As far as the virgin nurse goes even when your married your man/woman could cheat on you. I think your just nervous about growing up. Im not trying to presure you into sex. far from it but I think to hide from it is not going to help anything.

I hope it works out 4 you :)

Of course you should

"Yes I am young and youre right I shouldnt be thinking about sex and I do not particularly know why I do but it is all around me."

Of course you should be thinking about it. You are at the age where your hormone levels are going crazy. Just use your head and make sure it is the right person. Just remember that you only get one time, and you don't want to regret it.

Helping Hand

i know JUST what you mean! i don't know is it because i have a biological thing that makes me have strong sexual needs, but i want sex alot! and of course, i dont' want to be a hore so i do try to hold myself.
of course, having sexual needs and wants is a natural thing! i mean, guys masterbate all the time! and i can say, alot of girls do too.. shh.. they just dont wanna admit it! haha.. and if you really do have alot of sexual tension and you really don't want to have sex right now. try masturbation. it might help you release some of those stress.
