After long and distinguished careers as solo practitioners, our founding attorneys Andrew Yiangou and Robert D. Bergman decided to combine their resources and knowledge to establish our firm in 1998. The Founders had worked together for over a decade on many legal matters prior to the firm’s official founding. They both provided affordable legal services to ordinary citizens, preferring to help people over corporations, government and big business. Since they shared a common philosophy and worked well together, it was a foregone conclusion that they would join forces. The firm began with two small offices and a part-time secretary. Today, the firm has grown and currently occupies the whole lower level of 3099 Sullivant Avenue and has a suite of offices at 2020 Brice road and another at 3805 North High Street. Needless to say, the team has also expanded from one part time secretary, to a total of 11, including paralegals, secretaries and attorneys.

Bergman and Yiangou remain true to the founders’ philosophy of representing ordinary citizens and have refused to take on large corporate clients or represent government interests. We continue the battle against credit card companies and banks in Federal court and fight for the rights of the common man and woman when faced with the prosecutorial power of the state. We provide effective and vigorous representation to claimants battling the Federal Government for their Social Security Disability benefits, and when the ordinary citizen suffers from the loss of a loved one, the firm provides compassionate representation throughout the probate process.
